Job summary

OERP Canada seeks a Senior Accounting Consultant to bring full-cycle accounting expertise to a diverse portfolio of Canadian businesses. You will translate financial requirements into Odoo configurations, safeguard data integrity, and provide strategic insight during ERP implementations.

The on-site role requires a CPA or active pursuit, 5+ years of accounting experience, and strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and Canadian tax rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation, or active pursuit is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years in industry accounting, owning full-cycle close as a controller or senior accountant.
• Hands-on familiarity with a major ERP/accounting system (e.g., NetSuite, Dynamics, Sage, QuickBooks, or Odoo).
• Knowledge of Canadian tax requirements (HST/GST/PST) and corporate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial discovery and process mapping.
• Configure ERP accounting module including COA, taxes, fiscal positions, and journals.
• Oversee data migration, opening balances, AP/AR, and multi-currency reporting.
• Design customized reports, dashboards, and KPIs for clients.

Instead of running the books for a single organization, you will apply everything you know: Chart of Accounts design, reconciliation, period closes, financial reporting, and compliance; across a diverse portfolio of Canadian businesses. As a Senior Accounting Consultant, you will translate complex financial requirements into functional ERP configurations, safeguard data integrity, and provide the strategic insight that helps clients thrive. You have owned full-cycle accounting, you understand how the numbers really flow through a business, and you have been through at least one ERP implementation or migration (even as the finance stakeholder rather than the person configuring it).
