Overview

Senior Accounting Analyst – Full-Time | On-Site - Chilliwack, BC

Our client, a growing industrial firm based in Chilliwack, BC, is seeking a capable and experienced accounting professional to assume responsibility for day-to-day financial operations and lead the company's transition from QuickBooks Online to Acumatica ERP. This is a key role for a results-driven individual with strong technical accounting skills, hands-on ERP experience, and the ability to operate independently. The successful candidate will play a critical part in streamlining financial processes, improving reporting accuracy, and supporting the organization’s growth.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations & Oversight: Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including AP/AR, payroll entry, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company policies and applicable standards.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities and contribute to management reporting.
  • Maintain up-to-date vendor and customer records; oversee related transactions and reporting.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure proper coding and cost tracking.
  • ERP Leadership – Acumatica Implementation: Serve as the internal lead for the transition from QuickBooks Online to Acumatica ERP.
  • Work with consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure a successful implementation.
  • Configure, test, and validate accounting processes within Acumatica.
  • Train and support internal users to ensure effective and consistent ERP adoption.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting workflows and ERP utilization.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare financial reports, including cash flow forecasts, job cost analysis, and budget variances.
  • Support the development of monthly reporting packages and performance dashboards for management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to aid in decision-making.
  • Organizational Support & Leadership: Contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the finance team.
  • Assist with internal controls and ensure compliance with industry standards and financial policies.
  • Take initiative in improving systems, documentation, and process reliability.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience; experience in industrial, construction, or related sectors is preferred.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems, ideally Acumatica, including implementation or major transition involvement.
  • Strong technical skills in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of full-cycle accounting, payroll processes, reconciliations, cost analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
  • CPA designation (or progression toward CPA) is considered an asset but not a requirement for this role.
  • Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and organized.
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to work across departments.
  • Adaptable, solutions-focused, and comfortable in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and professional judgment.
