Job summary

Davidson & Company in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Accountant for our Public Company Audit Practice. You will gain hands-on exposure to a broad client base across dynamic industries and take on increasing responsibility in a front-row seat to exciting market work.

You will work with experienced leaders, deepen technical expertise, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality audit services in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
• CPA designation or CFE in progress
• 2-3 years public practice audit experience
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with CaseWare and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of audit engagements from planning to completion across diverse clients
• Prepare clear audit documentation per firm methodology and standards
• Research and resolve complex accounting issues under IFRS/US GAAP
• Act as a key client contact, identifying issues and providing value-added recommendations
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality audits

About the Role

Davidson is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Public Company Audit Practice. This role offers hands-on exposure to a wide range of public company clients across dynamic and fast-growing industries. If you're curious, adaptable, and eager to deepen your technical expertise while taking on increasing responsibility, this role offers a front-row seat to some of the most exciting work in the market.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days look the same, but your core responsibilities will include:

• Leading all phases of audit engagements from planning and execution through to completion across a diverse portfolio of clients
• Preparing clear, accurate audit documentation in accordance with firm methodology and professional standards
• Researching and resolving complex accounting and financial reporting issues, including the practical application of IFRS, US GAAP, and auditing standards
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, proactively identifying issues and delivering thoughtful, value-added recommendations
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality audit services

What You'll Bring

You're more than your credentials- you're collaborative, detail-oriented, and ready to grow. Ideally, you bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, plus a CPA designation (or CFE completion with active progress toward designation)
• 2-3 years of public practice audit and accounting experience, with meaningful exposure to client engagementsA solid working knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards, with the ability to apply them in real-world scenarios
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with comfort managing multiple priorities using tools such as CaseWare, MS Office, and emerging technologies

Let's Talk Numbers

We believe in transparency and fairness. The annual base salary range for this role is $75,000-$95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our total rewards package provides significant additional value beyond base compensation.
