Senior Accountant, Privately Held Business Group

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing exceptional client service across various industries and reporting frameworks.
2. Planning, preparing, and executing financial statement reviews and compilations.
3. Handling monthly and annual bookkeeping, payroll, and HST calculations.
4. Preparing tax returns and responding to CRA requests.
5. Supervising and coaching junior team members.
6. Contributing to our reputation as preferred business advisors.
7. Performing other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of public practice accounting or bookkeeping for small to medium owner-managed businesses.
• Strong accounting technical skills and experience in tax return preparation.
• Excellent client service, planning, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxPrep, Sage, QuickBooks).
• Mentoring experience is an asset.
