Responsibilities

• Responsible for financial reporting and analysis for multiple operating portfolios.
• Partner with operations on financial analysis, capital budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
• Prepare quarterly financial statements, variance analysis, and other reports.
• Lead the analysis of results focusing on improving information quality.
• Liaise with external service providers for quarterly reporting.
• Complete period-end closing procedures including GL accounts review.
• Assess business impacts of changes to accounting standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with ad-hoc investment performance reporting.

We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious and established organization located mid-town Toronto along the subway line, currently seeking a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with relevant experience from public accounting and / or industry.

Key responsibilities and oversight :

• Responsible for financial reporting and analysis for the multiple operating portfolios
• Partner with operations on financial analysis, capital budgeting and quarterly forecasting
• Preparation of quarterly financial statements, variance analysis, and other reports
• Lead the analysis of results with a focus on improving the quality of information delivered
• Liaise with external service providers for the preparation of quarterly reporting packages
• Completion of period-end closing procedures including review of GL accounts for accuracy
• Assess business impacts of changes to accounting standards under ASPE and IFRS
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives around processes and automation
• Assist with ad-hoc investment performance reporting packages
