Senior Accountant- GPS Controllership role will be based in Canada and will report to the Manager of Accounting, mainly supporting the Ovation team and the larger finance organization.

What You'll Do :

  1. Prepare and post journal entries in Agresso and Netsuite.
  2. Act as a liaison and calculate commissions for Independent Advisors and Affiliates (third parties).
  3. Prepare Blackline reconciliations for monthly and quarterly reporting.
  4. Upload Agresso TB to Netsuite for month-end close.
  5. Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis, or assistance in other projects as needed within the larger corporate accounting organization.
  6. Act as a strategic partner to finance management in driving and streamlining process improvements.
  7. Collaborate with teams such as AR, AP, and Supplier Revenue teams.
  8. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes under tight timeframes.
  9. Ensure accounting records are maintained in preparation for audits.
  10. Maintain documentation supporting internal control systems.
  11. Maintain technical accounting skills and participate in finance projects.
  12. May oversee small legal entities or regional tasks.
  13. Support external and internal audit requests.
  14. Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and US GAAP.
  15. Conduct financial analysis and general analytics.
  16. Implement operational and system process improvements.

What We're Looking For :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting/finance.
  • Travel industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Agresso is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Customer service experience is an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration skills across organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven track record of process improvements.
  • Experience with NetSuite and/or Agresso.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
  • Professional demeanor and management interaction skills.
