Overview

Our Global Mobility Services team specializes in providing compliance and consulting services to organizations with international workforces regarding Canadian and foreign personal income taxes, cross-border payroll, social security taxes, compensation design, policy framework, pension, and other aspects. We design sophisticated tax planning and compensation strategies to help such companies and their employees manage their tax liabilities and other expenses of operating in the global business environment.

As a Senior Accountant working with Managers and Partners, you will be instrumental in delivering Canadian and US tax compliance and advisory services. You will also be responsible for technical, project management, administrative, and support functions related to managing our clients’ expatriate tax programs. The ideal candidate enjoys continuous learning and working in a team to deliver exceptional client service.

Our team is open to candidates across British Columbia. We offer flexible remote and hybrid work arrangements.

What You Will Do

  1. Become part of a tax engagement team to meet the tax compliance needs of clients
  2. Prepare working paper files for income tax returns for personal tax clients
  3. Review Canadian and US personal tax returns
  4. Conduct taxpayer arrival and departure tax consultations
  5. Manage client information gathering to ensure accurate and timely completion of returns and schedules
  6. Follow-up with tax authorities on notices
  7. Support team members in related tasks
  8. Conduct tax and payroll research

What You Bring To The Role

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a public accounting firm specializing in personal Canadian tax and/or cross-border payroll matters. Knowledge of US Tax is an asset but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field

KPMG BC Region Pay Range

The expected base salary range is $66,000 to $99,000, potentially including bonuses. Salary depends on location, skills, and qualifications. KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
