Job summary

IWK Health in Halifax seeks a Senior Accountant, Foundation Stewardship & Reporting to provide financial oversight and donor-funded accountability across Foundation initiatives. You will work closely with the IWK Foundation, operational leaders, clinical teams, and Finance to ensure donor restrictions are followed and reporting is timely.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Must have or be working towards a Canadian CPA Designation.
• Minimum of five years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and analytics.
• Experience with donor-funded programs or grants is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial oversight and stewardship for Foundation-funded initiatives.
• Coordinate donor reporting, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with donor restrictions and funding agreements.
• Develop forecasts and management reporting for stakeholders.
• Support governance and internal control improvements across finance.
