Our Charity and Not-for-Profit team in the GTA is expanding, and we are seeking talented Senior Accountants to join us. Working alongside respected accounting professionals, you will focus on the needs of the not-for-profit and charity sector, engaging in a variety of tasks, including financial reporting and advisory services beyond just auditing.

As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing solutions to clients on current business and financial conditions
  • Planning, preparing, and executing financial statements with appropriate note disclosures
  • Offering assurance services such as audits, review engagements, and notices to reader, as well as tax services
  • Working with clients under ASPE and ASNPO reporting frameworks
  • Leading audit engagements and guiding management on improvements
  • Completing corporate tax returns (T3010, T1044, T2)
  • Building long-term client relationships and providing exceptional service
  • Increased workload during mid-May to mid-June period

Candidates should have:
  • 2-3 years’ accounting experience, preferably with small to mid-size businesses, non-profits, or in public accounting
  • Interest in the non-profit and charity sector
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Technical expertise in accounting and tax; experience with income tax prep and CaseWare is a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
Location options include Toronto, Markham, or Mississauga.
