Job summary

KPMG in Canada is hiring Senior Accountants for our Private Enterprise Audit practice in Sault Ste Marie. You will gain exposure to clients across manufacturing, retail, construction, financial services, technology, healthcare and more.

You will apply audit methodologies, lead teams, mentor juniors, and analyze complex accounting issues to ensure high-quality financial statements and client service.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree is required.
• Enrolment in the CPA Canada professional education program or holding another nationally recognized professional accounting designation is an asset.
• 2+ years post graduate experience with a public accounting firm.
• Excellent project management, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Experience with ASPE and ASNPO.
• Mentoring and delegating experience with junior staff.

Our Sault Ste Marie office is hiring Senior Accountants for our Private Enterprise Audit practice. You can expect exposure to a variety of clients such as manufacturing, retail, construction, financial services, technology, healthcare and more.

What you will do

• Apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices and methodologies at client engagements.
• Conduct external and internal financial statement audits for private companies.
• Leadership of field engagement teams as well as coaching and mentoring junior staff members.
• Perform analysis of complex accounting issues.
• Perform financial and systems analysis.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients

What you bring to the role

• Must have relevant post-secondary degree
• Enrolment in the CPA Canada professional education program or holding another nationally recognized professional accounting designation an asset

• Previous experience and technical knowledge to the benefit of the client.

KPMG Ontario Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $57,000 to $95,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
