Our hotel chains include Accent Inns, known for rubber ducks in every room, and Hotel Zed, which rebels against the ordinary. Our latest venture is ROAR, a live-fire restaurant in Tofino, BC. We are looking for a team-oriented individual to support our finance operations and contribute to our growth.

This role reports to Patricia Schoenroth, our Controller, and involves assisting the finance team with financial analysis, month-end duties, and mentorship of accounting technicians.

  • Managing payroll processes in partnership with P&C.
  • Reviewing complex journal entries and ensuring accurate tip-out and COGS calculations.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

In the first 3 months, you'll familiarize yourself with responsibilities, build relationships, and start taking ownership of duties. Within 12 months, you will have fully managed multiple month-ends, improved processes, mentored team members, and supported operational financial needs.

We offer comprehensive benefits, including coverage of medical and dental premiums, mental health support, hotel discounts, a 'Live your Best Life' fund, and a hybrid work model (2 days WFH, 3 days at our Victoria office).

Application process involves three interviews with HR, finance leaders, and strategic stakeholders, culminating in an offer celebration.
