HireLoft Recruitment is hiring a Senior Accountant for a fast-growing company in the hospitality and retail sector.

This Senior Accountant role is ideal for someone who’s confident in full-cycle accounting and ready to take ownership of financial reporting, analysis, and month-end processes in a dynamic environment. If you’re process-driven, sharp with numbers, and ready to grow with a scaling business - this one’s for you.

What You’ll Do as the Senior Accountant :

• Lead all aspects of month-end close : journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Conduct variance analysis, forecasting, and support budgeting initiatives.
• Manage intercompany transactions and related reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll accounting entries and accruals.
• Handle sales tax filings (HST / GST / PST) and support audit processes.
• Improve financial reporting tools and streamline accounting processes.
• Work cross-functionally to provide finance insights to internal teams.

Who You Are :

• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience is a must.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis.
• CPA designated or in progress.
• Skilled in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, modeling).
• Experience with cloud-based ERP systems.
• Hospitality, retail, or multi-unit experience is a plus—but not required.
• You’re detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
