Job summary

IAMGOLD Corporation in Toronto is seeking a Senior Accountant to support corporate accounting and financial reporting. The role reports to the Manager, Finance & Administration and ensures accuracy and timeliness of financial information.

The ideal candidate has 7 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience, a degree in Accounting or Finance, and preferably CPA designation. Expertise with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) and advanced Excel is required to drive process improvements.

IAMGOLD is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Accountant to support our corporate accounting and financial reporting activities based in our Toronto office. Reporting to the Manager, Finance & Administration, this role plays an important part in the execution of the Company's accounting processes, ensuring financial information is accurate, timely, and aligned with internal and external reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with finance teams across the organization, the Senior Accountant will support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, payroll-related accounting entries, and supporting schedules. The role will also contribute to financial reporting activities, audit processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements while helping maintain the integrity of corporate accounting records.

The Senior Accountant will be a key contributor to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function, supporting process enhancements, system implementations, and finance transformation projects. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across the business.

Key Skills & Knowledge:

We’re looking for a finance professional with a university degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, along with 7 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate accounting, financial reporting, or public company environment. A CPA designation is preferred, as is experience with large ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms. Advanced Excel skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement will be critical to success in this role.

Salary Range: CAD$71,000 - CAD$106,000+ bonus
