About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established organization located in Scarborough, is seeking a Senior Accountant for a 12-month contract. This hybrid role offers an excellent opportunity to manage full-cycle accounting processes while working with leading ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting including month-end, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation
• Utilize SAP and Oracle to maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and provide financial insights

Qualifications

4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong full-cycle accounting knowledge

Proficiency in SAP and Oracle ERP systems

Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls

CPA designation or in progress is preferred

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
