Job summary

Bioriginal seeks a Senior Accountant to provide technical accounting expertise to the executive team and support accounting operations across the organization.

The role serves as a key accounting resource, offering guidance and mentorship to team members and driving continuous improvement in processes and reporting systems.

The Senior Accountant plays an important role in supporting the financial health of the organization and participates in special projects and audits as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA designation (or actively working towards) preferred.
• Minimum of 2-5 years related experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software and Microsoft Excel required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Cashflow management.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and assists with month-end and year-end financial statements.
• Ensures the company follows accounting best practices.
• Performs variance analyses and prepares account reconciliations.
• Generates various accounting and financial reports as needed.
• Provides oversight to AP, AR, GL and taxes.
• Analyzes transactional data and prepares journal entries.
• Assists with subsidiary and parent company consolidations, including international subsidiaries.
• Assess and recommend improvements in procedures and systems.
• Assess internal controls and provide recommendations for gaps.
• Assists with financial and tax audits.
• Stays informed on best practices, trends and regulations.
• Provides leadership to junior staff as required.
• Participates in special projects and system implementations.
