Senior Accountant

At Steve Madden Canada, we are passionate about building a dynamic team of independent and motivated professionals. Currently, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to maintain our high standards. Responsibilities include:

• Bank Reconciliations
• GST/QST preparation and filing
• Managing the month-end accounting cycle
• Preparing financial statements during month-end
• Revising accounts and balance sheet items for year-end audit
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies, financial standards, and government regulations

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in an accounting department
• Experience with public companies is a plus
• BAC in Accounting; CPA is a plus
• Experience with Sage or other ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)
