Job Description

Our client, a rapidly growing company in the manufacturing industry, has an opening for a Senior Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for timely close of month end/year end, general ledger reconciliations, supporting internal and external audits, and various reporting. This position works closely with the AVP of Finance on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and verifying the accuracy of financial records and transactions
• Assist in preparing the monthly financial package
• Provide support for mid-year and end-of-year reviews
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly journal entries
• Assist with the internal and external audit process
• Perform other duties as assigned by the AVP of Finance
• Ensuring adherence to accounting principles (GAAP) and regulations

Requirements:

• 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience with strong month end exposure
• Experience working in the manufacturing industry is considered an asset
• Strong Excel skills are required.
• A post-secondary degree in accounting or a related field is required
• While not mandatory, experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is an asset
