The opportunity? Step into a role where you’ll take real ownership of the accounting function and play a key part in shaping how we handle finance at Tuff Industries. We’re hiring a Senior Accountant who combines solid accounting skills with top-tier customer service to take on a mix of financial and operational responsibilities.

If you’re energized by a fast-paced environment, enjoy wearing multiple hats, and like working closely with both internal teams and external partners, this full-time, permanent role could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Full cycle accounts payable & receivable (AP/AR) management.
  • Process & prepare electronic, cheque, and credit card payments (incoming & outgoing).
  • Perform month end reconciliations (cash, credit card, inventory, AR/AP, etc.)
  • Prepare journal entries.
  • Monitor, file & release tax payments to various governing bodies (North American).
  • General involvement in vendor communication & record maintenance.
  • Manage incoming customer, dealer & vendor calls as required.

What We Look For

  • At least 2 years of hands-on accounting experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and Sage Accounting (or similar).
  • The ability to handle various tasks throughout the day.
  • A critical thinker with common sense and an ability to prioritize.
  • Prior accounting and/or office administration experience is an asset.
  • Prior experience reconciling & filing provincial sales tax is an asset.

What We Offer:

  • Comprehensive health benefits (drug plan, vision, paramedical coverage, dental)
  • RRSP matching program for long-term financial security.
  • Competitive salary with paid time off in accordance with policy.
  • Opportunities for growth and professional development.

The annual salary range for this position is $62,000 - $80,000. Individual compensation is commensurate with skill set, relevant experience and education.

If you're someone who enjoys working in a small team, wants to grow, and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo, we’d love to hear from you.
