Summary: As the Senior Accountant, you will oversee financial reporting and ensure accurate recording of transactions. You will manage Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable, contributing to the organization’s financial health. The role requires attention to detail and proficiency in full-cycle accounting. As a key member of a small finance team, you will help optimize resources, implement best practices, and uphold fiscal responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  1. Record transactions in the full cycle accounting process including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and billing.
  2. Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations.
  3. Generate financial statements and reporting packages.
  4. Become a subject matter expert on company operations and ERP systems related to finance.
  5. Analyze internal controls and processes for optimization.
  6. Participate in implementing new projects and liaising with other departments.
  7. Lead month-end and year-end closing, audits, and financial reporting.
  8. Support payroll processes and related analysis.
  9. Assist in monitoring budgets and preparing related reports.
  10. Plan and execute financial audits, reviews, and compilations.
  11. Monitor cash flow and loan positions to ensure financial stability.
  12. Lead job costing activities, including cost allocation, budget monitoring, and project analysis.
  13. Collaborate with project managers for accurate cost tracking and forecasting.
  14. Handle special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA pursuit preferred.
  • 3-5 years in accounting, budgeting, and financial management.
  • Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Police Check.
  • Strong understanding of account reconciliation, payroll, A/P, and A/R processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong financial principles, accounting practices, and compliance knowledge.
  • Team player with resourcefulness and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting financial info.

$80,000-85,000 annually

Working Conditions
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours daily
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs independently
