Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, and other reports
  • Support the financial reporting team during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes
  • Work on preliminary and final purchase price calculations for acquisitions and prepare related journal entries
  • Review acquisition balances, monthly movements, and reconciliations
  • Analyze acquisition income statements, reconcile changes, and prepare variance explanations
  • Reconcile bank and sub-ledger accounts
  • Prepare regulatory and government reports (RIBO, GST/HST, sales taxes, quarterly surveys, etc.)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and improve financial data quality
  • Assist team members with daily questions and tasks
  • Complete other tasks and ad-hoc projects as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

  • CPA designation
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or auditing, preferably with public company experience
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, SEC regulations, and accounting standards
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of accuracy and timeliness
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly
