Senior Accountant

Are you a recent CPA from Public Accounting looking to get into industry? Our client, located in Guelph, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Manager of External Reporting, this role focuses on preparation of financial reporting, complex accounting, and acting as a key resource for internal stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful, corporate environment, while working with a dynamic team that values your professional growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation and delivery of reporting
  • Contribute to the reporting processes from several companies and departments
  • Prepare journal entries for complex accounting activities
  • Review and analyze reporting and account balances
  • Mentor more junior staff
  • Act as an important resource for internal stakeholders
Requirements
  • Must have experience from a Public Accounting firm
  • CPA designation or closer to completion
  • Ideally have experience with IFRS
  • Prior experience working with insurance companies would be a huge asset
  • Strong technical skills
  • Willingness to learn
