Senior Accountant

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant is a part-time role and will play a critical role in enhancing the financial operations at Chrysalis. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position involves assisting with overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing budgeting and forecasting, conducting detailed financial analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making to drive business growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will be results-driven with a strong background in financial planning, analysis, and strategy. They will have excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for driving efficiency and profitability within the organization.

What You’ll Do

1. Financial Reporting: Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports.
2. General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with developing annual budgets and forecasting processes.
4. Financial Analysis and Strategy: Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to support decision-making and drive performance.
5. Tax and Compliance: Support and prepare timely tax filings and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

What We Need From You

1. Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic mindset to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Knowledge of budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting.
3. Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.

1. Education: Degree in B.Comm or related field, CPA preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum 3 years in a finance role.

4. Knowledge: Financial strategy, planning, standards, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, taxation.
