Senior Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Controller to handle job costing and support with monthly financial deadlines. This role offers the opportunity to convert to a permanent position after 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform job costing activities.
• Support monthly financial deadlines.
• Handle general ledger and reconciliation tasks.
• Manage month-end processes and financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and reporting.
• Conduct journal entry and balance sheet analysis.
• Perform cost accounting and analysis.
• Assist with capital expenditures (Capex) and operational expenditures (Opex).

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in accounting and general ledger management.
• Experience with reconciliation, month-end processes, and financial reporting.
• Ability to prepare financial statements and conduct job costing.
• Knowledge of Capex and Opex.
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Work Environment

The role requires on-site work 5 days a week at our location in Chepstow, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
