Job summary

RHN Chartered Professional Accountants in Canada is seeking a Senior Accountant with 3-5 years of public practice experience. You will conduct compilations, reviews, and audits, file Canadian corporate, personal and trust tax returns, and build strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates bring ASPE/ASNPO knowledge, IFRS familiarity, and proficiency with CaseWare/CaseView, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office. A team-focused, deadline-driven environment supports ongoing professional development and

Qualifications

• 3-5 years relevant public practice experience.
• Experience with NPO audits and fund accounting is asset.
• Sound knowledge of Accounting (ASPE and ASNPO) and CAS.
• Strong understanding of materiality, risk assessment and variance analysis.
• Experience with IFRS is asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven commitment to outstanding client service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Preparing compilations, reviews, and audit engagements both individually and in a team setting.
• Preparing Canadian corporate income tax returns, personal and trust income tax returns.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Working with a time budget for all files, monitoring your time in the budget and meeting deadlines.
• Participating in and contributing to in-house training sessions as well as professional development initiatives.

Salary range: $70,000-$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Accountant, you will complete a variety of different engagements assigned to you, continuing to diversify your experience and skill sets, and actively contribute to the firm’s continued growth through timely service and communication to clients.

What You’ll Bring:

• 3-5 years relevant public practice experience

• Experience with CaseWare/CaseView, TaxPrep and Microsoft Office Suite

• A proven commitment to outstanding client service
• The ability to work cohesively in a team
• Strong problem-solving abilities and productivity in situations where direct supervision may be conducted remotely or at a minimum level
• Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards is considered an asset.
