Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant

Location: Brantford, ON

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year depending on experience

Industry: Construction / Industrial / Finance / Accounting

Employment Term: Fulltime / Permanent

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
2. Perform financial audits to ensure adherence to applicable regulations and internal controls.
3. Assist in corporate finance activities such as budgeting and forecasting.
4. Work collaboratively with various departments to deliver financial insights that support strategic decisions.
5. Compile comprehensive financial reports for leadership, emphasizing key metrics and trends.
6. Detect, analyze, and resolve discrepancies or irregularities in financial records and documentation.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
2. CPA designation preferred.
3. Proven experience in a Senior Accountant role or equivalent position within a corporate environment.
4. Solid understanding of accounting standards, practices, and regulatory compliance.
5. Proficient in using accounting software modules.
6. Proficiency in Sage 300 and Yardi is considered a strong asset.
7. Highly detail-oriented and organized, with strong priority management skills and exceptional analytical abilities to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
