Our client is a long-term care facility seeking a Senior Accountant responsible for collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate reporting, funding audits, and timely financial reporting.

About the Opportunity

• Review accounting for property-level non-controllable expenses (utilities, property taxes, rebates)
• Ensure timely processing of property taxes and utilities
• Review electronic data transfers within Shared Services for accuracy and timeliness
• Communicate financial results, variance analysis, and reconcile accounts
• Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits related to Shared Services
• Review property budgets and forecasts for non-controllable expenses
• Support external relationships with property tax and utility consultants
• Assist with regulatory filings, including property tax appeals
• Other duties as assigned

About You

• 3+ years full cycle accounting experience, preferably from a large company
• CPA in progress
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• Knowledge of IFRS and Canadian GAAP
• Public company experience preferred
• Critical thinking and analytical skills

Salary Range

$85,000 - $90,000 per year
