Job summary

Lightmatter, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to own major customer accounts and drive the full sales cycle from initial engagement to close.

You will represent Lightmatter to customers and voice their needs to leadership, shaping solutions that meet strategic objectives. The role requires 8+ years in semiconductors or datacenters with 5+ years in direct or strategic account management, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, or related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of datacenter infrastructure (CPU, GPU, networking).

  • Track record of revenue growth and closing greenfield opportunities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams.

Lightmatter is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to take ownership of several major customer accounts. In this highly visible role, you will be the face and voice of Lightmatter, driving the entire sales cycle from initial engagement through deal closure. You will also be the voice of the customer to the Lightmatter leadership team. The role requires the development of a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to position Lightmatter's solutions to meet them.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that meet target revenue numbers and expands Lightmatter’s footprint within key accounts.
  • Build and maintain trusted‑advisor relationships with influencers and decision-makers from C-suite executives to individual engineers.
  • Apply a deep understanding of customer pain points and business objectives to clearly communicate the value of Lightmatter's solutions and work with the Lightmatter product team to deliver them.
  • Be the voice of the customer with the internal teams — including engineering, marketing, finance, and legal — to ensure seamless delivery and a strong customer experience.
  • Identify, manage, and close net new business opportunities as well as collaboration across the team to help everyone win.
  • Produce accurate sales forecasts and present pipeline activity directly to Lightmatter CEO, CFO and SVPs.
  • Lead negotiations and close complex deals with large enterprise customers.
Qualifications
  • Be a hunter with 8+ years of experience in the semiconductor or datacenter industry, including at least 5 years in direct sales or strategic account management.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • Strong working knowledge of datacenter infrastructure (CPU, GPU, networking).
  • Be skilled in explaining complex solutions to both engineering and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to drive complex sales processes, with a track record of revenue growth and closing greenfield opportunities as well as expanding within accounts.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives spanning three to five stakeholder groups (e.g., engineering, product, operations, sales, finance), helping ensure Lightmatter is delighting the customer at every level.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time, as needed, for customer meetings, team collaboration, conferences, and company events.
Preferred Qualifications
  • HPC Networking experience.
  • Experience with product definition and/or product management role.
  • Experience selling advanced semiconductors (processors, FPGAs, etc.) into major enterprises.
  • Experience or understanding of current optics products landscape and sales process.

We offer competitive compensation. On target earnings range is listed below. The final compensation will be determined based on location, experience, educational background, and market data.

$300,000 - $350,000 USD
