Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Senior Account Manager will be responsible for converting prospects into sales by identifying and uncovering opportunities within new and existing accounts. Building rapport and maintaining relationships with individuals at key accounts will be critical. After securing projects, the Senior Account Manager will liaise and coordinate with the internal project management team and clients to ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Develop and execute plans to allocate effort and time efficiently across all assigned accounts and contacts, prioritizing opportunities and maintaining regular outreach.
- Prepare for and conduct client interactions and presentations, both individual and group.
- Expand reach within accounts through lead generation and pursue new and repeat business by following up strategically and navigating multi-call sales discussions.
- Record all opportunities, client interactions, and follow-up plans in CRM.
- Continuously assess the business landscape for opportunities and challenges, and keep colleagues informed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals and coordinate project activities, including client updates and project completion.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries to ensure all questions are answered and issues resolved.
- Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and sales presentations, both in-person and virtual.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by senior management.
Skills and Qualifications :
- Proven track record of sales achievements.
- At least 3 years of experience as a sales account manager, preferably selling directly to pharmaceutical accounts or similar industries.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaborative tools (Salesforce, OneDrive, MS Teams, etc.).
- University degree in Business, Management, or Science.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to nurture existing relationships.
- Persuasive with the ability to advance the sales process toward closing deals.
- Initiative, drive, and persistence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong planning, organizing, and prioritizing abilities.
- Self-disciplined, capable of working independently and following through on plans.
- Flexible and able to handle ambiguity.
- Quick learner with meticulous application of sales processes and systems.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Quick learner of new software applications.
