Qualifications

  • 3 years commercial insurance experience including property/casualty and automobile preferred.
  • RIBO Licensed.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully.

What the Role Entails:

  • Prepare documents to assist the Account Executive in quoting and binding new business, including preparation of applications and submissions, completing questionnaires and pulling reports
  • Source and obtain additional information requested by the underwriter and complete applications accordingly.
  • Provide customers with prompt service by providing advice, helping customers understand insurance, and discussing customer concerns.
  • Assist with quotes to customers, preparing coverage comparison and/or summaries of insurance and update customer file information.
  • Processing of new business, endorsements, renewals and cancellations
  • Follow up on payments and assist the Account Executive in managing Accounts Receivables
  • Receive and process all incoming Commercial paperwork.
  • Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for new clients, issue insurance certificates.
  • Communicate with Insurance companies, negotiate with underwriters on renewal terms and endorsements
  • Preparing new loss notices and follow up with Adjusters on claims status.

The Successful candidate will have:

  • High School and/or Post Secondary Education
  • 3 years commercial insurance experience including property/casualty and automobile preferred.
  • RIBO Licensed
  • MS Office programs, including Word, Excel and Teams is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exposure to Epic is an asset
  • Previous sales experience is an asset.
  • Ability to pass a criminal and credit check
