The Senior Account Executive’s primary responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing new business with both existing and new customers. The Senior Account Executive brings a Point of View to customer engagements; uses all resources to solve customer problems with appropriate SAP products.

  • Account and Customer Relationship Management, Sales, and Software License and Cloud Subscription Revenue:
    • Achieve or exceed quota targets annually.
    • Develop effective account plans to ensure revenue targets and sustainable growth. Build relationships in new and existing customers to drive strategy.
    • Establish strong relationships based on knowledge of customer requirements, providing value through counsel, expertise, solutions, and implementation.
    • Understand each customer’s technology footprint, growth plans, and industry trends by reviewing public information.
    • Lead designated territory accounts, foster account relationships, and encourage accounts to become SAP references. Build and maintain C-level trusted advisor relationships with large companies in Western Canada.
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive business plans addressing customer priorities, leveraging ROI data to support decision-making.
  • Demand Generation, Pipeline, and Opportunity Management:
    • Maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline management, ensuring it remains current and moving through the sales stages.
    • Leverage support from marketing, inside sales, partners, and channels to build pipeline.
    • Proficiently leverage SAP solutions, including Industry, LOB, and technology solutions, in sales pursuits.
    • Advance and close opportunities through effective execution of sales strategies.
    • Support SAP promotions and events in the territory.
  • Sell value effectively.
  • Maintain whitespace analysis and execute initiatives for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Coordinate resources, including remote teams, to execute successful sales strategies and create a unified SAP presence.
  • Understand SAP’s competitive landscape and position solutions effectively.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Leading a (Virtual) Account Team:
    • Demonstrate leadership in orchestrating remote teams.
    • Ensure account teams and partners are aligned with account strategies and well prepared for customer interactions, maximizing sales support.

Experience & Language Requirements

  • 10+ years in sales of complex business software/IT solutions.
  • Proven success in business application software sales.
  • Experience leading team-selling environments.
  • Successful track record with large transactions and lengthy sales cycles in competitive markets.
  • Business-level English: Fluent.
  • Local language: Fluent, Business level.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP values pay transparency to foster an honest and supportive culture. The annualized compensation range for this position is $170,200 - $381,200 USD, including base salary and variable incentives.
