We are seeking a dedicated SEND Tutor to join our dedicated team at our Dorchester Centre.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare course/training materials
  • Complete external paperwork as required in a timely manner
  • Maintain the quality of the learner programme to a sufficient standard to pass IQA and EQA criteria
  • Complete learner and delivery paperwork as required in a timely manner
  • Deliver embedded English and Maths skills
  • Deliver Maths and English GCSE/Functional skills
  • Provide Initial Assessment and diagnostic of the learner needs including English and maths using company standards
  • Teach wellbeing awareness
  • Attend business networking events to promote the activities of SWRAC
  • Support learners with LDD/SEND/behaviour in a variety of classroom settings
  • Work closely with team members to ensure that ILP targets are monitored and reviewed
  • Be aware of individual learner’s risk assessments and needs
  • Encourage independence and self-help skills wherever possible
  • Other duties of a commensurate nature as required
Person Specification
Essential
  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Level 2 Maths & English (or equivalent/ GCSE level 4)
  • Experience of working with young adults who have SEND/behavioural difficulties
  • Understanding of relevant policies /codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation
