Job summary
TeacherActive Ltd. is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils with Autism in Handsworth. Immediate start with flexible day-to-day work and opportunities for longer-term roles.
You will provide classroom and individual support, adapt your approach to meet individual needs, and collaborate with teaching staff to help pupils access learning.
Role includes CPD courses, dedicated consultant support, competitive rates (£90-£120 per day), and a referral scheme.

The setting provides a supportive and structured environment where pupils receive personalised support to help them develop their confidence, communication and independence.
The setting is looking to appoint SEND Teaching Assistants for day-to-day and long-term opportunities, with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide classroom and individual support, adapt their approach to meet individual needs and work closely with teaching staff to help pupils access learning.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD
- Experience working with primary-aged pupils
- Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to help you with the easy onboarding process
- CPD Courses and certificates as part of the My-Progression channel
- Market leading rates of pay
