Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Hamilton, Ontario seeks a dedicated Semi-Skilled Laborer to join our team. The role involves general labour, heavy manufacturing and steel work, with rotating 12-hour shifts and a starting pay of $27.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking adedicated and hardworking Semi-Skilled Laborer to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have experience in general labour tasks, heavy manufacturing, steel work, a strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt to rotating shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general labour duties, including material handling, assembly, and equipment operation.
• Assist skilled tradespeople in various tasks, such as construction, traffic control, manufacturing, or maintenance.
• Labour tasks can include shoveling debris and iron, unloading and loading materials from pallets and machining areas, hand assembly and drilling/grinding parts.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow safety protocols and company guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a labour-intensive role preferred, steel manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Must have a high school diploma, clean criminal background check, and own construction related PPE (metatarsal steel toed work boots, hard hat, chin strap)
• 1-2 years of experience with industrial tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to work continental rotating shifts, including days and night shift in the same week, 12-hour shifts.
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 +/ per hour
