Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation is seeking a Self Serve Gas Bar Attendant to provide friendly service, assist customers with fueling, and promote products in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle transactions at the POS, ensure the gas bar area is clean and well-stocked, and upsell items to enhance the customer experience. Flexible evenings, weekends and holidays required.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including proper phone etiquette.

You will assist customers with their fueling needs, promote additional products and services, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with self-service fuel pumps.
• Demonstrate knowledge of products available at the gas bar, including convenience items and automotive supplies.
• Conduct product demos to enhance customer understanding and encourage sales.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing credit card payments through POS systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gas bar area, ensuring all merchandise is well-stocked and displayed effectively.
• Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional products to customers during their visit.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
• Exhibit strong communication skills while interacting with customers both in-person and over the phone.
• Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during shifts
