Job summary

Viridien in Calgary is seeking a Seismic Imaging Analyst to join the Subsurface Imaging team. You will learn seismic data acquisition concepts, wavelet processing, velocity modeling, and generate precise 3D images of the Earth’s subsurface to help clients assess risk and opportunities.

The role offers a hybrid work model, close collaboration with Research and Software Development teams, and opportunities to contribute to innovative imaging techniques while advancing your career in geoscience.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in Geophysics, Physics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical field.
• Excellent problem-solving and mathematical skills required.
• Strong, clear communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience with a UNIX environment preferred; no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations in the Seismic Imaging team.
• Perform data analysis and quality control.
• Collaborate with Research and Software Development teams to develop innovative techniques.
