Job description

Due to the growth and expansion of our portfolio, we are looking to immediately fill a position for a Commercial Property Manager. Reporting to our Senior Property Manager, the Commercial Property Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a portfolio of commercial properties. You will ensure the proper maintenance of buildings and common areas, manage service calls, and support tenant

TASKS
  • Overseeing the operational management of commercial properties (maintenance, repairs, safety, regulatory compliance);
  • Maintaining strong relationships with tenants: responding to requests and service calls. At all times, managing emergency situations efficiently;
  • Developing and following up on annual, preventive, and corrective maintenance schedules, and supervising maintenance and repair activities;
  • Performing annual inspections of buildings and common areas;
  • Managing and coordinating subcontractor activities (snow removal, security, landscaping, parking maintenance, etc.), including reviewing proposals, negotiating the best possible terms, preparing contracts, and monitoring subcontractor performance;
  • Contributing to the preparation, strategic management, and optimization of operating budgets.
SKILLS
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial property management or a similar role.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both French and English.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Able to handle emergencies at all times.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent judgment, prioritization, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and excellent time management to coordinate multiple and competing priorities, emergencies, and deadlines.
  • Highly motivated to resolve diverse challenges in an environment where no two days are alike.
  • Committed to promoting technology and using available tools to automate and enhance operational efficiency in a constantly evolving environment.
