Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Project Specialist for Capital Projects in Calgary. You will install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on security systems, delivering projects on time and within budget.

You will be the primary technical liaison for customers and mentor junior staff while upholding safety and quality standards. Requires 5 years of field service experience, electronics diploma, and certifications such as Lenel/Genetec.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of field service experience.
• Diploma in Electronics preferred.
• Industry-specific certifications such as Lenel, Genetec, CCure, AMAG, are an asset.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation systems.
• Reads basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures; interprets manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Operates systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions.
• Acts as our customer’s best service provider by ensuring customer satisfaction and handling on-site coordination.
• Mentors less-experienced staff and supports team development.
