Job description

Security Supervisor – 2026-146

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Security Supervisor to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation.

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a cornerstone asset and one of the most significant copper development projects in Canada. With commercial production expected in the second half of 2026, this world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. We are committed to sustainable development, environmental protection, and building strong communities. We believe in empowering our people, fostering a culture of growth, and creating opportunities for meaningful careers as we build the mines of the future.

The Security Supervisor oversees day-to-day security at the McIlvenna Bay Operation, protecting employees, contractors, visitors, company assets and facilities through effective security operations, contractor oversight, incident response and investigations. The role directs contracted Security Guards, maintains site security policies, procedures and protocols, and works with site leadership to manage security risks and support a safe, respectful working and living environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day security operations across the mine site, camp, access points and facilities, including access controls, patrols, inspections and monitoring.
  • Ensure employees, contractors, visitors and vehicles are authorized to access the site, and that vehicle, baggage and personal belongings inspections are conducted in accordance with company policies and applicable legislation.
  • Oversee CCTV, alarms, electronic access controls, keys, access cards and other security equipment, ensuring deficiencies are addressed.
  • Maintain a visible, professional and respectful security presence throughout the site and camp.
  • Identify security risks, conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to protect people, company assets and facilities.
  • Provide operational direction to contracted Security Guards and ensure appropriate staffing, qualifications, coverage and training.
  • Monitor contractor performance against service standards, contractual requirements and company expectations through field observations and reviews of security records.
  • Set daily priorities, support effective shift handovers and communication, and address performance or conduct concerns with the contractor's management team.
  • Ensure Security Guards follow site procedures and maintain required training records.
  • Oversee the Drug and Alcohol Testing process carried out by Security Guards in accordance with company procedures.
  • Lead investigations into theft, property damage, unauthorized access, security breaches and other incidents; conduct interviews, gather and preserve evidence, and prepare reports.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential investigation and incident records, and ensure incidents are reported and escalated promptly.
  • Coordinate security responses to incidents and emergencies, and support site emergency response activities such as evacuations and medical emergencies.
  • Work with Human Resources, Health & Safety, site leadership and law enforcement, as appropriate, on investigations and follow-up actions.
  • Identify recurring security concerns and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
  • Develop and maintain site security policies, procedures and protocols; review them as operational needs, risks and legislative requirements change.
  • Monitor compliance with security requirements, support audits and continuous improvement, and address identified deficiencies.
  • Oversee camp security and respond to disturbances, complaints and policy violations, including concerns involving alcohol, drugs, prohibited items and workplace conduct.
  • Work with Camp Administration, Human Resources and site leaders to address camp security concerns and support a safe and respectful living environment.

Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in security, law enforcement, military or a related field, including at least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience in an industrial, mining, construction or remote camp environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting security investigations, including interviewing, evidence collection and report preparation.
  • Experience developing and implementing security policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Experience overseeing contracted security services is an asset.
  • Knowledge of security operations, access control systems, CCTV and emergency response procedures.
  • Understanding of applicable security legislation, privacy requirements and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Relevant security training, certification or licensing as required by applicable legislation.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
