Security Specialist - Security Architect

Systematix is currently seeking a Security Specialist - Security Architect to support enterprise infrastructure security and operational improvement initiatives in Regina, Saskatchewan. This role focuses on security solution architecture, risk-based remediation, and practical guidance across Cisco, Azure, networks, storage, data centres, servers, and related technologies.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The assignment supports the Intelligent Networks & Infrastructure function, working closely with Operations to identify and address security gaps. The successful consultant will evaluate existing controls, applicable standards, and operational risks to help prioritize security improvements and guide secure infrastructure solutions.
The role requires strong security architecture capability and an understanding of how infrastructure solutions are implemented and supported in an enterprise environment. Deliverables include detailed and conceptual solution designs, technical specifications, discovery, and infrastructure planning documentation.

• Contribute Conceptual Solution Designs (CSDs), discovery activities, and core infrastructure planning.
• Assess security architecture across Cisco, Microsoft Azure, networks, storage, data centres, servers, and related platforms.
• Collaborate with network, server, storage, backup, cloud, and other infrastructure specialists.
• Present recommendations, design options, and risk-based priorities to technical and business stakeholders.
• Support technical reviews, implementation planning, and security consultation as needed.

REQUIREMENTS - MUST-HAVE

• Demonstrated project and support experience with Cisco, Azure, networking, storage, data-centre, server, and related technologies from a security solution architecture perspective.
• Ability to evaluate infrastructure security risks and recommend appropriate architecture and controls.
• Experience translating technical and security requirements into actionable design documentation and recommendations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with infrastructure and Operations teams.
• Availability to work onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan.
• Qualifications aligned with the required security architecture responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS - NICE-TO-HAVE

• Previous hands-on infrastructure administration experience in server, storage, backup, or network environments.
• Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience preparing detailed and conceptual infrastructure solution designs.
• Relevant security, networking, cloud, or architecture certifications.
• Experience supporting large, complex, or regulated enterprise environments.

Duration: Approximately 13 months
Guaranteed Utilization: 100%

PAY DISCLOSURE

Intermediate: $85-$100/hour (CAD)
Senior: $100-$115/hour (CAD)
Compensation is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and security architecture expertise.
