Job description

We are seeking a Security Specialist to join our team and lead the review and implementation of security recommendations from a recent audit. This role requires strong analytical, policy development, and project management skills, along with a hands-on approach to improving our security posture. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicative, and comfortable managing multiple security initiatives.

This position is hybrid onsite - up to 3 days per week. Contract is until the end of the year.

Key Responsibilities :

Audit Review & Assessment : Analyze findings from a recent security audit to understand risks, gaps, and areas for improvement.

Implementation & Planning : Develop actionable plans based on audit recommendations. Lead the execution of these changes across the organization.

Policy Development : Write, update, and implement security policies, procedures, and standards in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Project Management : Manage and / or support security initiatives and projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.

Collaboration & Communication : Work cross-functionally with IT, operations, and leadership teams to ensure understanding and compliance with security practices.

Security Operations Support : Support other ongoing or emerging security needs as assigned, including incident response, risk assessments, and training efforts.

Requirements :

Proven experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or related field.

Strong understanding of security frameworks, best practices, and compliance requirements.

Experience developing policies and managing security projects or initiatives.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work on-site in the KW region three days per week.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Security+) are an asset.
