Security Department

The Vantage Global Security (VGS) Department for Vantage Data Centers is very hands on. In most cases, we specify, purchase, configure and maintain all networking and server hardware. We also work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latest technology changes so that we can make informed purchase decisions. We are always looking for ways to strike the best balance between technology, performance, and cost. Vantage Security Department also participates in designing each of our new data center building’s security infrastructure. Position Description

This position will be based in Montreal (Pointe-Claire) or Quebec, QC. In accordance with our flexible work policy (3 days on-site required, 2 days flexible).

Vantage is seeking a Security Project Manager, NA to standardize project management tools, track progress, and ensure timely execution of security infrastructure projects. You will develop and refine project workflows, manage risks, and ensure compliance with best practices. You’ll also be responsible for implementing Vantage’s Execution Management Tool (EMT) for all construction security projects.

Additionally, you will:

  • Create and maintain project documentation, lessons learned, and risk mitigation plans
  • Oversee project reporting, financial tracking, and performance evaluations
  • Train new team members and enhance department processes for efficiency and scalability

This role requires strong organizational skills, technical security knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain program-level documentation and risk management strategies
  • Ensure compliance with department standards and processes
  • Perform quality control and continuous process improvement
  • Oversee and refine project forms, templates, and file organization
  • Monitor security trends and alert stakeholders to potential risks
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend security enhancements

Duties

  • Manage and optimize the Execution Management Tool (EMT) for security projects
  • Guide teams through EMT onboarding and troubleshooting
  • Implement and enforce project compliance policies
  • Improve departmental workflow and system performance
  • Liaise between project management and operations teams for project handovers
  • Ensure monthly project and financial reports are accurate and aligned with standards
  • Facilitate project scope verification and lessons learned workshops
  • Support cross-project coordination and stakeholder communication
  • Provide technical support to end-users and field teams when necessary
  • Perform other duties as required by management

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years in project/program management (5-7+ years preferred)
  • Experience in construction industry security systems (ACS, VSS, CCTV, networking)
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Experience designing security systems for new buildings/facilities
  • Excellent process evaluation and change management skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Travel up to 40%, with flexibility for non-traditional work hours if needed
  • Bilingual (French/English)

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role, which involves interactions with counterparts in the same department, and stakeholders in the United States.
