Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing Security Guards: The SPM will be responsible for overseeing all security guards, including full-time, part-time, and casual employees.
  • Training: The SPM will conduct or coordinate the 8-hour training program for newly onboarded security guards, ensuring they are knowledgeable in procedures, regulations, and standards.
  • Supervision & Support: The SPM will provide daily management and support to all guards, ensuring proper scheduling, compliance with security protocols, and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Coordination with Other Operational Stakeholders: The SPM will liaise with other divisions of the security team including Operations, CSMs, PRCs, and scheduling to ensure seamless operations, especially for high-profile properties.
  • Oversight of Extra Coverage: The SPM will oversee extra coverage shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in security management
  • Experience in training staff, creating and managing training programs
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple teams and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act, Steps to Arrest, Mental Health Act of Ontario, Criminal Code Section 494 - The Citizens Power to Attest
  • Must have a G Licence with 5 years experience, CPI, Use of Force, and First Aid/CPR Level C with AOD training is a definite asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian Charter Rights & Freedoms
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Education Requirements:

  • College/University Education
  • Minimum 1 year experience in security

This is a Full-Time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with hours subject to change based on client needs.
