Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Security Professionals in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Position Title: Security Professional
Location: Ottawa, Ontario
Compensation: $18.04 per hour
Shift Type: Day & Evenings
Shift Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Working Hours: Various

**Must have resided in Canada for a minimum of 5 years continuously**

Position Overview: Allied Universal, a global leader in security services, is currently seeking a highly skilled Security Professional to oversee security operations across the Ottawa area. This position requires a dedicated security professional with a strong commitment to safety, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to maintain a calm, effective response in high-pressure situations. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, flexible, and ready to take on the responsibility of ensuring the security of our client site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine security patrols and perform site inspections to ensure adherence to security protocols and operational standards.
• Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents and emergencies, exercising professionalism and sound judgment in all situations.
• Collaborate with team members and shift leads to ensure seamless transition between shifts and consistent coverage.
• Manage and oversee shift schedules to guarantee adequate security staffing for both day and overnight shifts.
• Operate and manage security technology and communication systems as per client-specific requirements.

Qualifications:

• Must have resided in Canada for a minimum of 5 years continuously (Client requires a reliability check).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is considered an asset.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to work with technology and wireless communication systems specific to client sites.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week as required.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• Capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and standing or walking for extended periods.
• Physically capable of occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms, as well as climbing stairs.
