Description and Requirements

Position Summary

The Policy & Assurance Coordinator plays a key supporting role in enabling the operational success of Lenovo’s Governance & Assurance function. This position is responsible for coordinating the publishing, maintenance, and tracking of enterprise security policies and standards; supporting the documentation and logistics of governance forums; and assisting with reporting and dashboard preparation.

Reporting directly to the Director of Governance & Assurance, this role provides cross-functional support across key programs including certifications, internal assurance, risk management, and policy governance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable supporting global teams in a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Lifecycle Coordination

  • Maintain the centralized inventory of enterprise security policies and standards, ensuring version control, update tracking, and timely publishing.
  • Support policy intake workflows, including routing drafts for review, logging updates, and tracking approvals.
  • Monitor policy exception requests and ensure proper documentation, escalation, and resolution.

Governance Documentation & Logistics

  • Coordinate logistics for governance board meetings and forums, including scheduling, agenda development, and distribution of meeting materials.
  • Maintain governance records, including meeting notes, decisions, policy approval logs, and supporting documentation for audit readiness.
  • Ensure all governance documents are accessible and organized in accordance with records management policies.

Reporting & Metrics Support

  • Assist in compiling data and assembling materials for assurance dashboards, policy compliance reports, and other recurring governance metrics.
  • Format and present information for internal and executive-level reporting using inputs provided by program owners.
  • Help maintain metrics trackers, templates, and dashboards used by the Governance & Assurance function.

Operational Support Across Programs

  • Collaborate with other Governance & Assurance team members to support risk register updates, certification readiness tracking, and control assurance scheduling.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for cross-functional initiatives related to policy or assurance enablement.
  • Support internal communication efforts around governance processes and timelines (e.g., policy calendar reminders, reporting deadlines).

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Security, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a security, compliance, governance, or program coordination role.
  • Familiarity with document control, policy management, or compliance tracking practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and workflow or ticketing platforms (e.g., Smartsheet, ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
  • Experience supporting governance, risk, or compliance functions in a global organization.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF) or related documentation processes.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and comfort working across time zones and teams.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team-based environment.
The base salary budgeted range for this position is $90k-110K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
