Job Skills / Requirements

Security Operation Center (SOC) is a centralized function within an organization employing people, processes, and technology to continuously monitor and improve an organization's security posture.

As a Security Operations Centre Administrator, the successful candidate will abide by the confidentiality of both NLHS and Paladin Security Group. The Administrator should be a self-starter, able to work effectively with minimal supervision and in a team environment to achieve organizational goals. Strong customer relations, interpersonal communication, both verbal and written, and flexibility in dealing with changing priorities and short deadlines are essential. The admin will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:

  • Maintaining, auditing, and reporting on access control databases such as Cure 9000, Axiom V, P2000
  • Contributing to the creation and improvement of SOC operations, ID access, and video surveillance system best practices and processes
  • Managing communications regarding the photo ID/access control program and escalating as needed
  • Supporting operational response and investigative activities
  • Processing requests for issuing, re-issuing, or deactivating ID cards for employees, vendors, and others
  • Updating access permissions and maintaining inventory of access cards
  • Monitoring alarms and managing SOC inventory
  • Maintaining confidentiality and working closely with NLHS staff
  • Ensuring documentation and processes adhere to provincial guidelines
  • Performing other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Entry level; 0-1 year experience
  • Strong IT skills (Hardware, Software, Server settings, MS Office 360, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Post-secondary diploma/certificate in Computer Science or related field; Business or Office Administration diploma/certificate is an asset
  • Healthcare Security experience and CPTED knowledge are assets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident interaction with diverse audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Education Requirements: High School Diploma / GED

Certification Requirements: Standard First Aid, CPR Level C, Vulnerable Sector Check
