Security Operations Business System Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Manage the security monitoring enrollment process to ensure coverage and effectiveness of cloud and on-premise applications, services, and platforms.
• Assist in triaging and investigating business email attacks and threats.
• Maintain the health of security monitoring log sources and ingestion sources to optimize data uptime and fidelity.
• Develop solutions and processes to improve security operations efficiency and tool integration.
• Coordinate between security operations, engineering, architecture, network & system operations, and project teams to ensure effective incident response.
• Support security incident response activities, including assessment, containment, mitigation, and documentation.

How to thrive in this role?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 2+ years’ experience in incident response or security operations.
• 2+ years in cybersecurity or computer network defense.
• Knowledge of incident response, handling, intrusion analysis, or security engineering.
• Understanding of common attack vectors.
• Experience with logging components and capabilities.
• Experience working in a large-scale incident response team or SOC.
• Technical knowledge of operating systems, network services, and applications.
• Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, VM, proxies, and email security.
• Ability to define practical use cases.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams across various backgrounds.
• Understanding of business processes and supporting services.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., GCIA, GSEC, GCIH, GCED, GCFA, GREM, GCFE) are assets.
