Job Description

As a Security Officer - Telecom Site in Morrisville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a leading technology environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure atmosphere. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a positive experience for all individuals on site. This post requires driving as part of your responsibilities. You will also provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and monitoring for unusual behavior.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues according to site protocols.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Support emergency response activities, including evacuations or medical incidents, in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with AU Driver Policy requirements.
• North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
