Position Summary :

Under the direction of security supervisors and managers, the incumbent provides basic security coverage, ensuring that adequate protection is provided for the safety of patrons and team members. Safeguards the assets of the organization as well as those of its guests and team members. Promotes an outgoing, friendly, guest-oriented demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Alcohol Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO) regulations.
  • Ensure proper security for all transfers of monies within the property.
  • Assist patrons with inquiries and situations, including providing information about the property and events, giving directions, and escorting them if necessary.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports clearly and precisely.
  • Patrol casino areas to establish security presence and report unusual or suspicious activities.
  • Assist in coordinating and resolving emergencies.
  • Assist in maintaining proper key control and security protocols.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to responsible gaming and alcohol service, notifying managers of concerns discreetly.
  • Reinforce the company's mission and values through actions and behaviors.
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers of any illegal acts or ethical concerns.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Create an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock for gaming and entertainment; actively build and retain guest relations; serve as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience, Certifications, Education :

  • A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Law and Security is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications.
  • A current First Aid / CPR certification.
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Skills :

  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience or knowledge of the gaming industry.

Physical Demands :

  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to walk distances.
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions :

  • Duties are performed in a highly regulated environment, with some time spent on the casino floor, which may involve exposure to noise and other environmental factors.
