Job summary

Commissionaires BC in Richmond is seeking a Security Officer for a government site. You will conduct interior and exterior patrols, manage access, and assist with incident response to maintain a secure environment.

Applicants must hold a valid BC Security License, have resided in Canada for at least five years, hold OFA1 or be willing to obtain it, and demonstrate excellent English communication. Weekday hours, uniforms provided, and on-site training support professional growth.

Job description

We are looking for a Security Officer to work at one of the Government site in Richmond.

The position will see you working: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm

Payrate: $21.38/hour

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Interior and exterior patrols


• Access Control and visitor verification


• Crowd control and management


• Responding to potential protesters or media


• Directing incoming mail to relevant staff


• First responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies


• Following specific emergency and alarm response protocols.

Your Must Haves …

• Valid BC Security License


• Have lived in Canada for a minimum of 5 years due to clearance requirements
