Commissionaires Victoria, The Islands And Yukon in Nanoose Bay on Vancouver Island is seeking security professionals to protect airports, schools and government facilities. You will perform access control, patrolling, and emergency response while delivering excellent customer service.

This not-for-profit organization offers flexible shifts, training, and opportunities for advancement, with a focus on safety and community service across Vancouver Island and the Yukon.

Qualifications

• Must hold Government of Canada level II (Secret) security clearance.
• Must complete the Commissionaire Security Officer Course.
• Must be physically fit and able to walk patrols.
• Must be fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to clients and the general public.
• Provide access control and security foot/mobile patrols as needed.
• Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts.
• Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures when necessary.
• Using mobile phones and basic computer programs.
• Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor.
• Possess excellent multi-tasking, problem-solving, prioritizing and organizational abilities.
• Know occupational health and safety regulations – training provided.
• Perform all duties with high safety standards.
